Hi,
I installed some usefull plugin by copying the appropriate files under the "plugins32" folder. Is there a way to see the list and the properties of these plugins within the VirtualDub menus? I would like to know at least their version...

Starting from version 1.10.x there is an item "Plug-ins..." in the Options-menu of VirtualDub.
Actually only the "DShowInputDriver.vdplugin" is shown.
By clicking on its name and than clicking on the "About"-button, you can get more info.
There is also a "Configure..."-button.
Unfortunately the version of the plug-in is not indicated.
I suppose other plug-ins (like MPEG2, Flash, Matroska, WMV, ...) should be adapted sooner or later to also make it possible to show more info.
When opening files by using one of the inputdrivers, like for example the MPEG2, you can - once the videofile is open - look via File > File Information.
In the titlebar of the window, the actual version of the driver is indicated. Not all drivers do actually show the version number !
Maybe the developers of these plug-ins can give us more information about the fact if they will make modifications to show up (more) info via the Plug-ins Option ? |

I don't use the experimental version yet, but you're right. I tryed to load a couple of file and I can see some plugin details on the File Information screen. It's a pity that these informations cannot be listed somewhere. Hope to see this feature soon.

Yeah, sorry... the Plug-Ins window is designed to be the portal for this, but it's bleeding-edge and isn't in the official API docs yet, which is why other plugins don't support it.
Note that the File Information window isn't the same, as that's supposed to be for the file you have open and not the plug-in itself. It's just used for plug-in info too because up to this point there hasn't been another place to use.
