Do you have this problem with this movie only? It doesn´t look as a Vdub problem. Looks like a codec problem.
If yours is a small movie you could "save wav" uncompressed, and then compress from the wav file

moved to codec discussion section

Can you tell us exactly WHAT MP3 codecs are listed in your codec list ? Do you have to tick 'show all codecs' first to see them in the list, or do they show up on first opening ? What sampling rate is your audio track ?

Looks like the problem is in audio codec used in the avi file - VDub can't decode sound from the avi file. Therefore VDub can't offer suitable formats for encoding. I suspect there's something like AC3 - in this case you will see just the same picture - right box will be empty, because there's nothing to encode - source audio can't be decoded. You can tick box "Show all formats" and will see all possible formats for all codecs, but it's useless - you can't recode sound.

Open your avi file in VDub, then look to "File" -> "File Information..." and tell, what you see in the section "Audio stream".

Hmm ... seems your audio is uncompressed PCM, sou you should be fine here, but why is the sample rate not precisely 44100 Hz but something like 44094 Hz ? Maybe this is the reason, as most audio codecs require a specific input sampling rate.

IIRC there is a way to force the sampling rate to be 44100 Hz, but i cant remember how to do it right now ... guess i am getting old .. lol biggrin.gif

Just go to "Audio" -> "Conversion" and select there 44100KHz.
