I had to go back from MPEG-2 v4.2 to v4.1. I capture some movies thru my Cinergy usb DVB-T tner and Terratec HomeCinema software. I get a .mpg file and then I convert it to DivX using Virtualdub and FCCHandler's plugins. No problem until MPEG-2 v4.2, that does not recognize my .mpg's any more. I see that it does no longer support the trnsport streams, but I am almost sure tha my MPG's are true MPG's. And, in any case, why not supporting TS's any more ? When I capture an HD video, it comes as a .TS file, and usually I reworked it with the same tools; in conclusion, the support of TS streams is an useful feature.

The MPEG-2 input plugin has never supported the transport streams.

It does not support Transport Streams, but it does support some unusual variations of Program Streams. I made some changes to that part of the code in version 4.2 and I might have broken it. I will look into it.

I've also found some problems with 4.2 version. In the 1.9.11 my MPEG-2 files from LG recorder are imported, but there is no preview and when I'm starting conversion the VDub crashes. But when I press "play" the movie is visible. So I went back to the 4.1 in the VDub stable.
On the other hand ... everyhing works fine in the VirtualDub 1.10.1 with the 4.2 version of MPEG-2 plugin. |

I tried MPEG2 plugin v.4.4 (appears as v.4.3 inside) and it regularly opens my mpg's.
B.T.W., my VITUALDUB is v.1.9.11.
Thanks, mr. FccHandler.

Oops you're right, it still said v4.3 inside. I've fixed it now:
