Hello,
I am really new to virtualDub. I urgently need a video without its subtitle on it. So I did what I read on user guide. I downloaded and copied filter files to plugins directory. I can see and load the filter on its page. I leaved filter configure page with its defaults or tried many other options. But when I start input and output videos, I can see no change. I know I am at risk of asking stupid questions by this very little knowledge about virtualdb but I really need help. Thanks.. |

Selecting a filter is different from applying it! I mean, did you rendered the file into a new AVI? If so, make sure you have "Full Processing Mode", since "Direct Stream Copy" does exactly that: ignores and changes and simply copies data from the source to the new file! Also select a compression otherwise the new file will be huge (default is uncompressed)! |

I really appreciate for your response. But I m still trying.
"Full Processing Mode" is checked, I open the video file , add filter and then from file menu I choose 'save as avi'. When it comes to result, input and output files seem either same or output file a little more darker but all subtitles staring there at me
Am I doing something wrong?

The MSU subtitle remover (or any subtitle remover for that matter) is not pixie dust. You have to configure it very carefully, and very often the result is much worse than simply keeping the subtitles.
