Motion Capture Filter

It would be neat to have a VirtualDub filter that would monitor the capture stream and beep when it detected motion. Or even start and stop the capture process.

Of course you could set the area of detection with something like the crop tool, configure the amount of motion, maybe even detect change in certain colors.

Is this possible, that a filter can call back to VirtualDub and have it start recording.
