I've been trying to play a wav file, other than "notify.wav" with Guiseppe Lo Sciuto's filter, End Processes Sound 1.1b. I am currently using Window's Vista and I realize that the filter was posted Oct. 2002 and may not work with Vista.
The filter is able to play either the beep signal, or notify.wav, if the play time is set for 3 secs or more. I would like to play a wav file that is longer so as to be able to hear it from another room.
I converted, a file to the same bit rate as notify.wav (1411kbps) but that didn't help either.
Does any reader have an idea, as to why only "notify.wav" will only play?
