I'm stringing together a game music compilation, with snippets of video from the games. Here's the problem: The newly merged video's audio somehow spills into the previous video. Basically the sound plays early. Here's a short vid just to demonstrate what's happening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6ZiEbrzS1A

The music for FF3 starts playing while Battletoads is still going, even though if I run the FF3 vid by itself, it's in the correct place. Yes I realize it's very brief, but for example, in one vid, the music is timed with the video intro of the game. It's too far off when displaced like that. Even if I wasn't being so picky, I'd still like to figure out why this happens for future reference.

I've done some googling and found a some discussions, but nothing seems to zero in on this problem. I've tried a few different things. I suppose I could make a list if necessary. I just thought maybe someone would have that magic bullet because they've encountered this, too.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Most likely guess
the length of the audio and the video in a clip is different
when they're appended the audio and video is just added to the end of the next one

Ah great, that's just what I was looking for, thanks! avisynth seems to have done the job nicely. I'll have to take some time to put all the vids together and save them, but a brief test of 2 videos worked. Thanks again!
