I decided to go back using VisualSubSync for making subtitles with and I'm getting something different that I don't recall having and that is if I use style tags: B, I, U, Font, etc, they don't show in VSS's video preview window but when I import the SRT into Vdub I see the tags as part of the subtitle text?
Is there something that I'm doing wrong? |

Not all renderers interpret srt the same. I think originally the tags were not part of srt, but it was something that was added later on by some people and not by others.
Which subtitle renderer are you using in VirtualDub?

DirectVobSub is in my tray. An FFDshow icon is also there so I'm guessing DVS is from FFDshow? |

I used the strip tags function in VSS and went into the styles interface through the textsub filter in Vdub instead and no tags. That worked but I don't think more than one style can be used unless you have more than one textsub plugin running?
I have to say that I like the look of the fonts through the use of the SRT file and the textsub plugin. Text looks really clean, better than in Vegas. |
