Hopefully I post at the right place and I didn't oversee any hint in the search.

To end up with say for example 50 frames which could be used to put on a dvd cover, to give an example, I am looking for a smart way to export these frames.
Surely on could do that by hand and may be one would find more characteristic frames, but may be one could simply extract a number using a script? A script which would export the

framenumber to be exported = 1 + n x (#total number of frames / #given number of frames to export)

n = 0, 1,2, ...., (number of frames to be exported minus 1)

Maybe there is as well a way to script for the export of the pics each scene starts with, as Virtual Dub has this nice feature to detect new scenes.

As I did newer did scripting in VirtualDub before, I would like to excuse me, if this approach is totally nonsense. In this case I would be happy for any advice to sort out this.

Thanks in advance, Olaf
