Is there any way to send what is in Vegas's time line, video, titles, etc, and funnel it into Vdub?

I will have to familiarize myself with frameserving more. I did see links that mentioned working with Vdub to send video to Vegas but not the other way around.

This would save me the wait and second AVI file by being able to take what's in Vegas and bring it to Vdub. Vegas also doesn't like using Lame mp3, guess Vegas never really did from the number of users of Vegas since version 4.

Also, does the avisynth dissolve function work on different areas of the same clip where an edit cut is made or does dissolve only work with segmented clips?

The only two things which make me dependent upon Vegas is the dissolve transitions and subtitle generation which is convenient in Vegas.

One thing Vdub has that Vegas doesn't is the curve editing. There is a composite mode in Vegas but it isn't connected with effects, it only works on opacity and A/B switching.

Have a look at these links

They're about frameserving from vegas to nero recode, but should be the same for vegas to vdub

Thanks. I'm now understanding how this works but..... The debugmode option doesn't show up in the drop down menu rendering. hmmmmm. The Vegas dll is installed. I'll have to refer back to the instructions. Maybe there is something I missed.

Only answer I found was to install the server files into the Vegas folder instead of the default location but it still doesn't show in the listing under rendering.

Computer problems? Oh I never have those. laugh.gif
