Salutations!

Using fccHandler's MPEG-2 input plugin (link) for Virtualdub 1.9.9, to load 24 FPS DVD material in VOB format, Virtualdub reports the frame rate at 29.97 and there are interlacing artifacts on most frames. Clearly, telecine has been applied. I'm applying inverse telecine right now, but can this plugin be made to load the video without performing telecine?

Thanks,
David

The problem might be that my input file is actually mixed FPS. (DAMN YOU DVD AUTHORS!!! WHY DO YOU DO THIS!!!) I will do more testing.

AFAIK the MPEG2 plugin has no option to remove the pulldown automatically. If you want that kind of thing you would need to look into a DGIndex -> Avisynth > VirtualDub workflow.
