Acm Error, extracting wav file error

Several times I have extracted audio from a avi file and it always worked.
Now I get an error message
ACM Error on Audio compression (200). The audio codec for the avi file is FraunhoferIIS mpeg layer3 codec.
I tried to download teh K-lite klcodec200f. But this didn't help.
Does someone have an answer to this problem.
I'm still not very experienced with video and codecs.
