Ok

OS: XP
virtual dub version: 1.5.10
file : a mpeg file
what i want to convert it too: an avi (divx5.02)

error:

QUOTE

[i] Starting up: VirtualDub build 18264/release

  • MPEG: Opening file "G:\w4f-ufcfsts.mpg"

  • Beginning dub operation.

[!] Dub: I/O thread has not cycled for ten seconds -- possible livelock.
        (Thread location: 7FFE0304)

[!] Dub: Processing thread has not cycled for ten seconds -- possible
        livelock. (Thread location: 7FFE0304)

  • How the hell am i getting theis livelock and how do i rectify this

I use fast recompress but i've tried all of them and i come up with the same error, i use the lame mp3 codec to do audio at 128k with full processing mode.

I think its to do with the audio, i dont get this error if i do the conversion without audio.

Any Ideas, i'd be extremeley greatful

edit: for some reason it usually happens at around 27 percent durig the dub, it also happens iwth all videos i try and i am using just straight virtualdub(i even tried virtualdubmpeg with no different results)

    well, u use lame acm,right?
    (there's your answer)

but here's another tip; prior to deinstalling lame acm alltogether, try older vdub versions (1.4.11, or 1.4.10)

please tell us what happened with older versions!

you can grab older versions here

    thanks in advance
