Dear All,

I recently was trying to burn a copy of a AVI that was 705 MB onto a 700 MB CD. So, I went into the AVI and edited out the first 55 seconds which would, I thought shrink the AVI enough to fit...BUt when I opened the newly saved file, it still had the first 55 secs...How should I do this???

For the record, I executed the following commands:

1. open avi
2. advanced film to part where I wanted to begin AVI using tab
3. Clicked "set start"
4. Clicked "next key frame"
5. Went to end of AVI and clicked, "Set end."
6. Then went to Save AVI.

NO DICE on the edits. How can I do this???

Thanks

TRC

Why dont you just burn the CD ? 705 should be no problem for a 700 MB CD.

To cut a piece of video out, select the section that you want to remove (with the set start/set end buttons). Then, hit "delete" on your keyboard. Then, you can save the remaining video to a new file.

1.  open avi

3.  Clicked "set start"
4.  Clicked "next key frame"
5.  Went to end of AVI and clicked, "Set end."
6.  Then went to Save AVI.

Try swapping steps 3 and 4.
