I saved an iMovie MPEG to cd and unfortunately this looses the file type info so iMovie will no longer allow me to edit the movie
I wondered if I can use Virtualdub to convert the iMovie MPEG format to avi so I can edit it with another tool (Virtualdub?, QuickTime?).
It appears that iMovie creates movies with multiple MPEG files (AVSEQ01.DAT, AVSEQ02.DAT etc) and a parent VDEO01.MOV control file that ties these together. My movie only has one of these .DAT files. I am clueless about all this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind, I figured this out all by myself. |
