After every reboot I must change the wdm driver settings in virtual dub to use s-video as the capture source, rather than tuner which is default.

How can I save this between reboots?

Have you tried saving the capture settings and video format under Capture... Preferences... ? Also, if you have a Bt8x8/Bt8x9 based chipset, try using the btwincap drivers, which store the last-used input themselves.

Yes, I've tried saving all options in Virtualdub. None saves the wdm driver setting to S-Video.

My card is geforce4 with philips chip, so those drivers are not an option.
