hello all.. .this is my first post here..sorry its a question..
ok here we go ...
i had made many divx movies into vcd and never had any probs until i downloaded star wars attack of the clones. it also had with it "Xvid Codec & AC3 Audio Codec"
which i installed and can watch using media player..
but when i try and rip the sound using virtual dub...thats when things go down hill... it pops up with a nice little error saying that stuff dont match with others and check stuff.(you prob know what im going on about)
anyway is their any way aroung this my son is mad to watch this movie on the TV..

No Problem.
But I think you had these probs also, when you tried another (BOUGHT) movie that you converted somehow (you dont know how ) and got ac3 sound, am I right ?
For this movie you should try NanDub instead of VDub, cause VDub can only work with wav and cbr mp3, but NanDub can also handle vbr mp3 and ac3 I think. That may solve your problem. 
EDIT: If NanDub doesnt work, give graphedit a try, it is a bit complicated for the first time, but it is very good !
