Hello, I'm using VirtualDub together with an Elgato Video Capture device. First time it worked but now I receive constantly the message "Unable to start video capture" after "Capture video" command and no black video screen is displayed. I am using the last build of VirtualDub v.1.10.4 under Win7. No problems to display video files. I have tried everything suggested in different discussion forums, included this, but no luck. Can you help me ? Thanks a lot Happy New Year Angelo Cappello Bologna, Italy |

Found something about a problem with audio capture: > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=6&t=19873
Verify Audio > Raw capture format ? Select and confirm the actual format ? |

Thanks Abrazo, following your suggestion I tried to change some settings in the audio menu under capture mode. The bottom selection list reports: 0 Capture Device 1 Line (Elgato Video Capture) 2 Elgato Video Capture Audio 3 ... Only selecting 0 everything works as expected. This menu is confusiong since three items point to the same Elgato device. Thanks a lot Best Regards Angelo |

Good to know that, selecting "0 Capture Device" in the Audio-menu, was your solution for the "Unable to start video capture" problem.
Regards.
