Hi all,

I'm currently using VirtualDub x64 (Veedub64.exe,1.9.11, build 32842) with the current plugin installed in order to open .mov files: DShowInputDriver and QuickTime64. I've also installed ffdshow x64.

I'm facing an annoying audio issues: I have some .mov files which, if opened with any kind of player (like VLC) are perfectly synchronised. If I open them in VirtualDub, instead, audio gets out of sync (slightly). Thinking that it could be only a playback issue I've tried to merge those files...only to discover that the problem remains and now it appears also when I play the merged video back with VLC (to merge the file I first save them as AVI and I've tried both with VirtualDub and MP4Cam2Avi: same result).

I've tried to:

- enable/disable ffdshow audio codec for VirtualDub
- change the framerate so that video and audio durations match (the VirtualDub option)
- force the change using Interleaving

No avail, the audio keeps being off sync and I'm completely stuck!

Thanks for your time and your help!

Did you already try the FFMpeg inputdriver plugin (latest version 0.8.0.2) for VirtualDub ?

In the Open video file dialogbox of VirtualDub you should first select the *.mov file (one single click on it) and then at "Files of type" choose "FFMpeg supported files", before clicking the Open button. This is similar for trying with the DirectShow plugin and the QuickTime plugin.

You can verify every time via File > File information, which decoder has been used for audio and video, and with most of the inputdriver plugins you can also check the duration of audio and video. Are they equal in length ?
