So I'm trying to append AVI_#2 to AVI_#1 but the last exposure on AVI_#1 is slightly darker than the first exposure of AVI_#2.

Is there anyway to change the exposures so that the two adjacent frames look like they belong together? Ideal would be some way of "ramping" the exposure say of AVI_#1 to start at zero compensation on its first frame then gradually ramp to slightly lighter on the last frame. And similarly, the first frame of AVI_#2 would be slightly lighter, ramping gradually to zero compensation at its last frame.

Any ideas?

Cheers
M

Add any of the brightness/contrast/exposure/levels type filters - then after altering the brightness etc, select the filter in the list and click the blend button, and OK out of the filter list

Back on the main virtualdub screen, goto the view menu and click 'curve editor'
With that, you can draw a line that represents how much % effect the filter has over time
