Hallo Forum,

I've got a question about the ready edited video after I saved it as *.avi.

When I try to watch the video it's like pitched down. It's slower then the originally recorded file. I think I've changed sth. in the buffer settings when I've started using Virtual Dub.

I hope that you can help me smile.gif

Thanks!

Marcel

Something that you can control via File > File information... is the display speed (for instance 25 fps).
When you create the AVI you can choose in VirtualDub via the Video menu > Frame rate... that the original frame rate will not be changed.

Something else that can play a role is the parameter in the Options menu > Sync to Audio. Switch it on or off an check if it helps or not.

Does it only slows down when playing with VirtualDub or does it also (slows down) in Windows Media Player ?

I experienced slow video once, transfering .mov or .mp4 to .avi through VirtualDub.
Frame rate was OK but still movements in video were like in sirup.

After checking "Quicktime import options"" and changing to below I got a proper video.

Color space= 1
Video decoder mode= 2
Auto decoder mode= 1

Check "Ask for extended options" to get forms for above values.
Then "Save to Quicktime.ini"

Regards

I turned the "Sync Video and Audio"-checkbox off and it worked smile.gif

Thank you very much!

Hmmm, you really shouldn't have to
Did you save the file with compression, or is it an enormous uncompressed file that the hard drive can't keep up with playing smoothly?
