Alright, I couldn't come up with a better title, but I'll explain what I mean smile.gif

First of all, we all know, how huge raw gameplay footage is and if you can't use it for editing right away, your HDD gets full really quick.

I'm kinda hard-pressed on time, and can't be bothered to edit all my footage right after having it recorded, so I'm looking for a way to minimize the file size, but keeping the quality at the same time.

So here are some specs of my recordings:
1080p
30fps
3 Audio Streams

is there any codec out there, that allows me to shrink my raw files and still be able to edit them as before (especially the 3 audio lines... I need them to be seperately)?
I've never used VirtualDub before, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it quickly, just point me in the right direction pls smile.gif

thx in advance

greets

and it will keep the 3 audio channels seperately?

thx alrdy though smile.gif

edit:
alright, tried it...
so I get roughly a 30% reduction in file size, with literally no quality loss
but I can only chose from 1 (or none) of the 3 audio channels sad.gif

Unfortunately VirtualDub cannot keep more than one audio track, but you can use the same video codec with VirtualDubMod (it is outdated but it allow to keep more audio tracks).
