Hello!
I need to make fast video by removing frames — keep frames, which number contain 10: 10, 20, 30 ... 1000 and delete all other: 1, 2, 3 ... 9, 11, 12 ...
I set Video->Frame Rate-> Change frame rate to 200 fps (current is 20 fps) and set Frame Rate Conversion: convert to: 20fps
But virtualdub don't delete frames as I want. It delete few spaces of time from video (few seconds in few seconds). How I can do what I want?

Yes, I see these options. But they convert video as "Frame Rate Conversion: convert to: 20fps". They delete few spaces of time from video.

Are you using Direct Stream Copy on a non-'keyframe only' stream? Dropping frames requires you to recompress in that case.

Now I use Full processing mode and video is converting as I wish =) |

Hi I'm still new to VirtualDub and I'm a little confused about converting frame rate, but hopefully someone can help me understand. I generally compress my videos with Divx mainly because, on my machine, Divx can compress my videos in less than half the time that it takes Xvid...maybe it's just my pc. Anyhow, I can't use Divx on some of my videos because they're 1920 x 1080 @ 59.94 fps. Divx works fine though if I convert from 59.94 fps to 29.97 using Video > Frame Rate > Convert to: __.
My question is, should I be using the convert method or should I be using Decimate by 2? What's the difference? |
