Hi all-- I've tried searching but my problem is so vague, nothing of use seems to come up in search results.
I've used VDub, VDubMod, and VDub-MPEG2 (a fave!) many times. But for some reason now when I try to work on a new file and load the WAV audio in for processing, I get no audio playback at all. The same audio file plays fine in Winamp, VLC, WMP, etc.
Something that makes me go 'hmmm' is that I recently installed the WinXP SP3 pack. But I've done the same on a laptop I have, and VDub is working fine there with no issues.
I feel like something in the ACM side of things must be screwed up. I've tried reinstalling some Windows default PCM ACM things, and now I just see two of them listed in the VDub audio compression menu.
Can some suggest a route to troubleshoot this? Any help appreciated. thanks! |

I had the same thing happen to me and I believe the problem stemmed from the VOB files that I started with. I was working on some homemade DVDs that a friend of my brother had made. The VOBs had DVD_LPCM_AUDIO and even after converting to Wave or MP3, Virtualdub could not input the audio files. Well, the first one worked but none of the others would.
I had to use two different programs to demux to usable M2V and MP2 audio files. |
