Hi People,
I'm having real problems with converting an AVI file into an SVCD. It's the latest episode of Desperate Housewives, a TCM encode I believe. I don't have any problems with LOL encodes - just from this new group, TCM. Usually, I use Virtualdub to extract the audio from the AVI file into a WAV then recombine the two in TMPGenc. However, my problem at the moment is that I'm not managing to extract the audio.
In Virtualdub, I select FULL PROCESSING MODE, then under conversion I'm selecting 44100HZ. When I go to save WAV it says that the encoding isn't possible and that I should check I have the correct codec. I've run GSpot which tells me I have 3 compatible codecs to read the file, and indeed I don't have any problems running the file on my PC. But Virtualdub doesn't seem to want to extract the audio itself.
ANY hints would be really appreciated. I'm totally stuck! |

I'm sorry, I didn't realise - my bad, I should have read the rules. Hopefully a mod will delete this post? |
