Ok iam new to this guys so hang with me. Vitual dub gives me this error when i load an avi into it.
Virtual Dub has detected a improper vbr audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with standard cbr values during processing for better compatibilty. This may introduce up to 33233 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unaceptable decompress the entire audio stream to an uncompressed wav file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder bitrate 138.8 20.3kbps
First off ill explain what iam trying to do.. Iam splitting the avi into 2 .. Well I did that . The first part came out with the audio out of sync and the second part was fine. Can someone tell me what do i do to fix this problem with Virtual dub and what exactly I would need to do this and also .. what exactly is virtual dub saying in that error or what it means.. Any help would be great and appreciated.. Thnx |

To play a movie on a normal Standalone DVD it shoeld be MPEG1 (VCD) or MPEG2 (SVCD or DVD) format. VDub has only avi output. Use another programm like TMPEGEnc for example to create such files.

TMPEGencoder can read AVI files via DirectShow, so your audio should even be in sync on encoding, even if VBR MP3 was used in the AVI.
I recommend to leave the AVI as it is ( dont split it ), encode to SVCD in TMPEG and split the MPEG file later so it fits on 1/2/3 CDs ( however ) ...
