I get the "Error initializing audio stream decompression: The requested conversion is not possible" and then it asks me to make sure I have the right audio codec (Microsoft Audio codec)
GSpot tells me the codec is WMAudio Decoder DMO, and when I check installed codecs, that one is installed.
All I'm trying to do is switch from sampling rate of 44,100 Hz, to 48,000 Hz.
What could I be doing wrong? |

Might be the upsampling. Try using the "advanced filtering", perhaps that helps. Why are you doing that, btw? You won´t gain any quality - making a DVD?

Thanks. To be honest, the only reason I'm trying that is, I burnt some avi files onto DVD RW. All but one play fine.
The one file that doesn't plays the video, but no audio. I looked at the files on GSpot, and I notice it uses a different bit rate, and also a different codec.
Anywho, on another forum, I read that my player doesn't play 44.1 Hz audio. All my other files run at 48 Hz, so I was going to just try to convert the audio.
I'll try your idea, thanks!
And thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.
