Hi!

I have question is this possible in new VirtualDobMOd 1.5.1.1a to do frameserve for tmpgenc an avi file with AC3 sound, simply without changing it to mp2???

I'm not a user of VirtualDubMod, but I'm pretty certain the AC3 must be decoded to PCM for frameserving. Perhaps you could frameserve and encode the video by itself, then demux the AC3 audio from the AVI and remux it with the newly created MPEG video.

Use Besweet from http://www.doom9.org to transcode your AC3 to MP2, then mux the final MPEG video with your MP2 audio to get your final MPEG file with audio.

Dont forget, you will have to downmix your AC3 as it is likely 5.1 surround sound, and neither TMPEG nor VirtualdubMod can do this for you ...
