Hi.
i tried to open the file : The.Ring.(DVDScreener).Cd1.[ViTE].Osloskop.avi
which encoded on xvid.
and i got that message:
Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'XVID' (unknown)
....requires Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video.
i already installed all the codecs i have , and i can watch all the movies in WMP , but i have that problem only when im using VitualDub.
im using Win Xp.
and i have Divx 5.03 installed (and so the XviD-Dec-23-10-02 version).
and virtualDub 1.5.1
please help me

As it said, youŽll need the XvID codec, which is NOT DivX.
But, unfortunately, the codec isnŽt allowed here(http://virtualdub.everwicked.com/index.php...4c5ada39bb35bdf).
You might try another site, I think the thread above does contain links to others.
