heya.
i have a strange problem
after installing divx5pro (free) edition, the encoder divx doesnt show up in virtualdub (or any other program).
i use win xp.
tried reinstalling divx, virtualdub, nothing helped.

is there any1 who has a clue what might be wrong ?
only some 3-4 codec show up in video/compression window (indeo, ms h261, h263 and VU) and there's no mpeg4, divx, that are needed to convert the raw avi's i just captured from my digitalcamcorder.

thanx for letting me know asap.

use the search function on the keywords 'disappear' or 'codec' and 'xp' ... there was a thread about this and a link to solution on Doom9, but it must be months old, so make sure you search for threads being older than 30 days ...

thanx a bunch Christian !!!
you save me man !
that's strange how a single entry in the registry (one of the keys there was just empty) can cause a dissapearing of codecs.
deleted it, and it's all okey now.
hurrey, i dont have to reinstall windows xp !
