Hi, I just downloaded a plugin for the virtualdub to play .MOV quicktime files.
Now i run the virtualdub double click on a mov file i see the message: Missing codec (jpeg)
Any ideas how to solve it and guide step by step how ot solve it ? I can play videos no problems also mov files with windows media player and other players. Never had this error before on other players.
If i click on virtualdub the play button i can hear the sound/audio but no video .

1. File Load use Files Of Type > Quicktime Files then file file to load 2. File Load Ask For Extended Options After This Dialogue in the fie load selection box-window some options may help to load the file 3. Try with this http://code.google.com/p/ffinputdriver/downloads/list plugin choose correct one for os using, unpack all contents to plugins32 folder Load with Files Of Type > FFmpeg Supported Files 4. Try using x86 os with virtualdub and unpack the quicktime plugin to virtualdub\plugins32
Last resort do this http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=4&t=21591 so we can try figure out the problem your having ! |

A bit more information, if it can help...
QuickTime inputdriver plugin for VirtualDub offers the possibility to open MOV and MP4 container-formats to (let us say) expand the audio and the video information that is stored in it. To make it possible to effectively 'hear' and 'view' the audio and video, there must be codecs available to 'decode' the information. Video and Audio in MOV and MP4 files can be encoded with a range of different codecs. So, you need the right ones on your computer.
An easy way to solve the problem is to install ffdshow-tryouts. This is a bundle of several 'video for windows' and 'DirectShow' compatible codecs that you can enable/disable on the hand of interactive dialogboxes.
To download ffdshow, please use the link below. To install, simply double-click the EXEcutable installation file that you have downloaded. > http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tr.../?source=navbar
After installation you will find an FFD_Show entry via the Windows Start button > All programs. In this FFD_Show entry, there should be a "VFW (Video for Windows) configuration" option.
After clicking this "VFW configuration", you will see two tabs. Choose the 'Decoder' tab and be sure to click the (first item) 'Codecs' in the left column. After that, look in the panel - at the right now - and click the MJPEG row. Click on 'disabled' and change it to 'libavcodec'. Click OK to confirm.
Now try again, by opening the MOV file in VirtualDub, at preference in the following manner: - in the 'Open video file' dialogbox, click on the MOV file - at 'Files of type', select 'QuickTime files' - then click on the Open button
If it still does not work, then try by enabling 'Other MPEG4' and/or 'Other MJPEG' in the VFW configuration. |
