Hello !

I use many multimedi tools.... Blender, Unity, Gimp... and now i'm getting interrested in VDub !
What i want to do with it ? it's pretty simple ;-)

In unity3D i make screen capture at 25fps. Thos screen captures are a big buch of png files like
this one:
.... ah no. not like this one... it appears i cannot link images in posts.....
well png files.

What i want to do is load them with VDub, and get a 25fps avi video file based on xvid codecs.

I disabled the 'smart rendering' option, set up the fps to 25 and tried to save AVI, and the i got an error:
cannot start video compression.
An unknown error occured ( may be corrupt data)
error code -100

Then i downloaded the latest xvid codev and installed it.
retried all the previous thingies and got the same error.

Looks like it's not an xvid problem ? Then what's wrong with VDub ?

Note1: i tried an output with no compression and got a working video with strange B/W broken picture
I also tried another codec, the cinepak from radius. it works fine but is not xvid....

Note2: i'm on windows7 with 4Gb Ram and faaaaaar space enough on disk.

May any1 help me poor VDub noob ? ;-P

thanks in advance & regards !

Codecs have restrictions that you must adhere to
Most codecs are only happy with a width that is divisble by 4 and the height divisible by 2
Some only like multiples of 8 or 16

So, first, check the widths of the video and iff it's not right, add the null filter then crop the edges until it's the right size

ps
you can add links for images, they look like this
