I'm searching for best codecs to encode my videos.
After having see specifications of ALL codecs, it appears to be : - Video : x264 - Audio : FLAC - Container : MKV
Problem, it's impossible to use FLAC on VirtualDub. The scenerules ask to use AAC instead (open-source, 42 channels, but lossy).
I want to know if there are a way to use a codec FLAC on virtualdub.
I actually use CoreFLAC ACM, which allows to encode somehow, not everytime, but wihich doesn't allow to decode.
Is there a way to read FLAC on VirtualDub ? A plugin, or something via Directshow ? Is there a way to contact the CoreFLAC ACM team to help them to write the code ?
Thank you. |

CoreFLAC ACM does also support decoding but it only work with few files. Unfortunately CoreFLAC ACM is a bit abandoned.
