To append segment2 to segment1 the first must have the same as the latter parameters - very strictly. Is there a way to previously recompress segment2 using all the parameters of segment1 as the example? So that it would be admitted for appending in VirtualDubMode? |

Once you have set al the parameters for Video and Audio compression and best also applied the Resize filter (via Video > Filters) to have an equal resolution for all your segments, you can save all these settings via File > Save processing settings... The settings will be written to a *.vcf file.
For every AVI that you would like to append to a formal one, you simply do File > Load processing settings... of the *.vcf file, before creating the new segment.
For your two already existing files that you actually would like to join, I would do a full recompress for the video as well as for the audio (for each of these two files), before doing the append. |
