The latest update of Matroska plugin of FCCHandler seems to have something destroyed. All mkv-Files that could be read by virtualdub using Matroska plugin now only show a green image all over the total length of the video, while Audio is playing well. The effect can only be seen when using ffdshow for AVC files while XVID coded file working fine. Alos it still works fine when replacing the MKV-plugin by its former version. The MKV-plugin shows the following informations on broken files in virtualdub: muxing app: libebmls v1.2.3 + libmatroska v1.3.0 writing app: mkvmerge v5.3.0 built on Feb 9 2012 10.39.07 Frame size: 1280x720, 23,964 fps Numer of frames: 1178 VCM codec: ffdshow Video Codec (AVC1) Number of key frames: 130 Min/avg/max:: 474/121862 / 352932 (15842033 Delta frame: 35 / 8313 / 251475 (96903903 Data rate: 1833799 bis / sec
when an MKV - file is used showing "VCM codec: ffdshow Video Codec (XVID)" everything works fine.
So obviously Matroska-Plugin and ffdshow don't like each other anymore (ffdshow version is: rev 3721 Jan 7 2011) |

When you say former version I assume you mean version 3.0? I ask because I just did a comparison of the 3.0 source and the 3.1 source and I didn't see any changes between them that would have broken video decoding for AVC...
For me AVC is working fine with 3.1, however I am using the "stable and recommended" ffdshow-tryouts Beta7 (rev. 3154, Dec. 9, 2009): http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/download.php
Is anyone else seeing this?

Just for the record...
over here, both ffdshow r4399 and x264VfW r2184 work well with the Matroska plugin 3.1.0.0.
BTW, the "standalone" x264 VCM codec is better than ffdshow ---
--- I mean, NO green frames at the beginning of the decoded stream |
