hi,
yeah, with vbr files the data-stream of video/audio could have some sync probs. but is it possible to make ABR mp3s and to put then in avis without sync probs?

if so, could anyone tell me how i can compress the audiostrem into mp3 with abr?

I use LAME to make ABR MP3s, but I don't put them in AVI files. rolleyes.gif

yeah, i also prefer ogg in ogm files.
but for sharing my selfmade vids with friends i use avi.

i thought it is possible to use abr files with avi. because if not, then abr files are useless!

why the heck would anyone then want to compress a file using abr if he can use vbr?

Anyway, ABR is a VBR technique, so in this context it's the same.

Streaming over a narrow channel of course.

Beacuse with abr you have an remote idea of how big the file will be afterwards. Everybody knows about bitrates, but most ppl (like me) will never get the hang of 'quality values' tongue.gif
