Hi Guys,
Which would you say is the best codec (from the default ones installed in VirtualDub) to use when creating video files from jpgs? I'm looking for best compatability for files created in VirtualDub with the various avi players and editors out there.
Cheers

Virtualdub doesn't install ANY codecs It uses any available VFW codecs (for video), and any ACM codecs (for audio) that are installed on you OS
If you want to use a specific codec but it's not on your list, you just install it eg the LameMP3 codec in my sig
Compatibility wise DivX (or XVid) for video, and mp3 for audio have the widest playability on older hardware as well as new X264 for video is arguably better, but older devices might not play it back at all
