So I had a 161mb AVI file that I loaded into VD to do deal with some slight cropping issues. Once finished, I saved that file back to my desktop, only to find it had grown into a monstrous 895mb file. I tried compressing it, which worked, but the quality loss was devastating. Help. |

Um, that's really vague Without details of which compressor etc it'd be hard to say exactly what happened...
so....
Have a look at http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...st=0#entry81074 Give that a try and see how you get on
If you still have any problems, you'll have to give more information like "i compressed the video using the divx codec, and here are the settings i used..." and either add a screenshot, or just type down the settings (too much detail is better than none)
Without that kind of info, it's a bit like phoning the doctor and just saying "I'm ill, whats wrong with me"
