I have 2 computers: Computer1 with W98 and Computer2 with XP-PRO, both with VD v 1.4.7 (build 13130). I use the computer2 for video edition (Pinnacle DV500plus).

I downloaded a movie compressed with Divx5.02. This movie plays well (with VB) using Computer1 and the VD file information shows the correct audio and video codec.

With computer2 this movie plays well using WMplayer and RadLight, but with VB the video is not played, only audio. VD file information shows the correct audio codec, but the video codec is identified as Pinnacle System MPEG Codec. I can't de-install it. I use it with my DV500 plus to capture and edit.
Of course, I have the needed codecs installed in this computer2 to play Divx movies. Pinnacle is the only DV codec installed.

The question is: how can I set VD to read the correct codec ? Is this a Windows setting ?

Thanks in advance.
