I have VirtualDub 1.8.8 and what I use is Xvid 1.2.1 to compress my videos. For some reason, when I try to compress FRAPS video clips, it doesn't do anything. My settings are compression > X-Vid 3.50, then File > Save As .avi, and again, it doesn't do anything, what's going on?

Uncheck the defer checkbox at the bottom of the save dialog.
