As virtualDub can't compress MJPEG files (see "open bugs" in the official site), I'm looking for an appropriate MJPEG codec for this purpose.
I tested PICVideo one and the result is OK (but not free !!)
Is a good free MJPEG codec aviable ???
(my video files are captured using Pinnacle DC10plus card)
Thanks |

personally I didn't know about a [good] free mjpeg codec... since I found this website...
MainConcept also makes a free MJPEG codec
read through it and you will find what you need/ I posted - but I didn't try it out, don't ask me if it works
cheers Sill

The free MainConcept MJPEG codec is for OS/2, if I'm not mistaken. They also seem to have a MJPEG codec for Windows, but it costs $19. I have no idea if it's as good as Morgan or PICVideo.
I don't think there is a good free MJPEG codec for Windows. They all seem to cost something. |

Yeah there is no free MJPeg codec. I've looked recently myself. Eventually I broke down and bought the MJPeg for $19. Trust me it's worth it. |
