Hi guys
This is my first post, got couple movies and wanted to do my SVCD as allways. This movie creates problem for me.

The Error is:

Virtual Dub requires a Video for Windows (VFW)compatible codec to decompress video.Direct Show codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not sutable.

Can anybody help me with this one,Please.

You can install every divx codec you want but it doesn't run under xp. don't know why but it sucks real hard, cause i mostly use the divx codec.

Why do you need Virtualdub to create S-VCDs ? Use TMPEGencoder from www.doom9.org ...

--------------------
Visit the unofficial Virtualdub support forum on http://forums.virtualdub.org - help to reduce the big number of emails Avery Lee is getting every day !!
Support matroska as container and Gstreamer as the only truely open, x-platform multimedia platform ....

Divx 5 works fine under XP SP1 here with Virtualdub. Divx5's main encoder/decoder module should be VFW. The only directshow component is one of the decoders. So I am at a bit of a loss as to why it is complaining about VFW decoders. As always a complete uninstall and re-install is recomended.
