Subject. Can anybody post a link?
I have been trying for a week to get my Mpeg4 AVC (or H.264) files to be edited on Sony Vegas. Supposedly, I can use VDub to do that. If anybody could help with that too, pm me, please.

VFW was taken out of the update but it says that you can use another program...

along with the codec to make it work.

Ffdshow is another option.
You might try searching for ATI's AVIVO encoder which I use to decode H264/AVC. I also have the old x264/AVC VFW which I could use to encode AVC with Virtualdub but I'd rather not encode to another proprietory format that takes forever to encode and takes high dollar software and hardware to watch.
If you have a HDAVC camera then you're gonna have to invest in some expensive software if you want to view or edit this format.

Demux from whatever container the video is in to a raw H.264 video. Then use DGAVCDec/AVIsynth to frameserve it to VDub etc. |
