I have the same problem as sk1968 had!!But I cannot resolve it using suggections made to him!! It's typical for movies that are in two big files of 700MB ie. Die Another Day. I can easily view it on computer but when I want to transform it to SVCD the sound is not detected both in Virtual Dub and TMPG Enc!!
I cannot save the sound to wav file because it gives me:

"Check that the sampling rate and the channel count of the input match thoose of the requested format."

I'm also writing file info:

Sampling rate 48000 Hz
Chanels 2(Stereo)
Sample precision 0-bit
Compression unknown(Tag 2000)
Preload skew 1536 samples (0,03s)
# of frames 62756
min/avg/max/total frame size 845/1536/1536(94134k)

I also tried to use AC3 Fix ver0.3 but I don't now how to use it. I wrote ac3fix filename.avi filename.ac3 he created this file ac3 but also VD and TMPG don't recognize them!!

I also have hex editor always in read only mode!!
I have VD ver 1.4.13

PLEASE HELP!!!
