Hi,
I'm a long time video editor and long time user of VirtualDub, wich is my personal favourite for encoding.
I have never had the need or tried to convert a Quicktime file of any type to WMV of any type.
A friend has asked me what software to use that is low in cost, and of course my first thought was why not open source at no cost!
Being a bit lazy here....but short of time and after a quick definitive answer
I know I can open Quicktime files e.g. FccHandlers QuickTime plug-in. It would SEEM I could then 'compress' the video using the ffdshow Video Codec and setting it up as the encoder.
Does anyone know if this configuration works, or is buggy? Or is there another way!
Cheers! |

Someone is going to complain that I am advertising but truth be told, the simplest answer is to use freemake video converter which also free and easy as hell to use converting video files. I love vdub but this is the simplest, easiest, and most effective answer. |
