Hey you guys.

Having been using VirtualDub for years now, this is a problem that is completely new to me, and I can't seem to find any similar posts about it, so here goes.

When choosing border style, I usually pick opaque box, which has always looked fine, but lately I have experienced that there are some cases where the text appears outside the box.

Example:

Can anyone tell me what causes this problem? I don't understand why it only does this with some files, and why it works perfectly fine with the outline+shadow style.

just a guess, but does it only appear on lines that have non-ascii characters, like the ones in the example (O with a line through it)

which subtitler do you use ?
