A new install of Windows 7 64 bit. Running 32 bit VirtualDub. I cannot get VirtualDub to open an AviSynth script. Tried a simple script "version()"
The same script loads and plays using Windows Media Player - but not Media Player Classic - (thus I assume AviSynth installed ok) but VirtualDub ignores it. Task Manager is required to shut down the now non responding VirtualDub. |

Did you install the 32 bit version of avisynth ?
If it's playing in wmp, it sounds like you've installed the x64 version

It's version 2.5.8 I installed it directly then uninstalled and let AutoGK install it. I also tried the latest Alpha and the result was the same. |

Can you post a screenshot if you load the .avs into Graphedit (32bit version) - or freeware GraphStudio http://blog.monogram.sk/janos/tools/monogr...am-graphstudio/
It should look like

Thank you for responding. I removed everything from the plugins folder in the new Win 7 pc and AviSynth worked on VirtualDub and MPC. I then added plugins until I found bass.dll that caused the virtualDub problem and an .avs file that affected MPC.
I had moved the entire contents of the plugins folder from my XP pc to the new one. |
