Oh, please... what's problem?

Install Xvid codec,
or use ffdshow tryouts (with active support for Xvid in ffdshow VfW configuration (decoder tab)),
or... DivX 6 (yes, can decode too).

However...
Xvid and DivX not handle FourCC is 'xvid' (instead 'XVID').
(FFmpeg (when encoding used libxvid) set 'xvid' by default, if user not set FourCC 'XVID' manually.)

Then... correct it used Nic's FourCC Changer (it's installed with Xvid codec) or similar program.

Or... when open video in VD set Ask for extended options after this dialog option and use Force video format FOURCC code to (XVID).
