hello everyone,nice to meet you all.
i'm trying to make a video to play slower permanently,its something like initially the video is 2mintues,i want to find a way some how make it permanently play at 2:30 minutes duration,its like a little bit slow motion version from the original one.
i tried to play around with virtualdub but i couldn't make it,can anyone give me advice on how to do it?

Hi jameslee and welcome to the forum!
There are several ways to achieve what you want with Virtual Dub. First I would try with menu Video - Frame Rate (Ctrl-R) and then enter a value in the "Change frame rate to (fps):". In your case, it should be 1/5 lower then the frame rate of the original file (which can be seen in File - File Information menu item).
Then you can use "Convert to fps" item (I'm not sure which of these two would give you the desired result, since it's a long time since I used them).
More advanced ways would be with external filters (but I'm not sure if any exist - you need to download one) and using AviSynth.
When you're satisfied with the result and want to save your work, don't forget to choose appropriate video compression codec!
