Hi guys, I've been relatively new to video in short. But I've always disliked the time it takes to download these video files and having to perform a playback to gain visual information about the videos. e.g. using media player.
There are some softwares that provides a summary of file information? e.g. when VirtualDub opens a file, one can select file information from the file drop down menu and it details frame size, bitrate etc ... DVD2AVI provides similar information when preview is selected. But what if the video is couple of hours long?
So, as users of digital video, what form of video summarisation would you prefer? (let me restrict the discussion to mpeg standard 1/2/4 first). But feel free to reply or suggest softwares.
